As a client who had never previously partnered with a creative agency, PCL Construction was eager to address their concerns from years past. Drawing from gathered insights and audience analysis, we strategically excluded elements that previously didn’t resonate and opted instead for activities appealing to the broader audience. That and the venue selection, the DoubleTree Hotel, played a crucial role in enhancing the theme of the event. With “Double” in the name, our creative brains immediately were drawn to create a 007-themed evening with crafted excitement and engagements throughout.
To maintain intrigue, we created an immersive world structured to unfold gradually, but it all started long before the event doors opened. We worked closely with internal marketing communications to tease the event through invitations, gradually building anticipation and excitement leading up to the experience. We leveraged the venue’s almost all-glass event space with an immaculate lighting plan to differentiate each stage of the event to guide attendees through. To lean into the wonder of the event, we strategically closed off areas of the venue so that throughout the evening those spaces could be opened up to attendees to participate. The designed excitement, unfolding event strategy, vibrant ambiance, and Casino Royale-style extravaganza led attendees through an unforgettable experience, a far cry from anything they had ever done in the past.
The Experience
The experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment attendees received teaser save-the-dates, the anticipation began to build. As they stepped into the event, they were transported into an immersive experience they wouldn’t soon forget. Starting with a swanky happy hour and formal dinner, guests were then quickly whisked away into a Casino Royale-style extravaganza, complete with recognition moments, Vegas-worthy entertainment, and thrilling table games. But the real magic unfolded as hidden clues led guests on a captivating scavenger hunt to a hidden speakeasy. Each surprise along the way, from specialty cocktails to fire twirlers, kept attendees delighted and engaged. Every detail perfectly suited the theme, creating an atmosphere that was anything but ordinary. Attendees were not just passive observers but active participants in a night of excitement and connection. The event exceeded expectations and as our client eagerly signed up for next year’s event, it was clear that this was more than just a party—it was an unforgettable experience they treasured.
